VerSeS was founded in 2002 and operates mainly around Klang Valley. In 2004, an
East Malaysia counterpart, VerSeS East was established in Miri, Sarawak. Comprised
of seasoned musicians with vast and varied experiences in live music performance and
from different walks of life, VerSeS is a potpourri of different ideas and strengths.
It is the diversity that makes VerSeS such as versatile and upbeat ensemble that it is now.
VerSeS is at ease in delivering quality music of many genres and in many languages. These
include Early Music, Traditional Music, Classical Music of various periods, Pop, Jazz, Evergreens,
original compositions and original arrangements. We present our music in the form of acapella
vocal ensemble, accompanied choral and solo vocal, flute, piano and strings instruments for
entertainment purposes of festive celebrations as well as private functions. In addition,
we also hold workshops and consultation sessions for vocal and choral music either on a short
term or long term contractual basis.
Every project to us is a creative process, thus VerSeS strives to customize our
presentations to the client’s requirements. We welcome the client to be involved in the
discussion of the presentation so that every presentation will have that special touch that
is specific to the client instead of a generic one-for-all program.
VerSeS’s intent is to be the most technically sound music ensemble in the
country, continuously improving and out-do ourselves in terms of musical abilities and
repertoire variety.
